About Us

ITEA Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities. Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.

ITE Mid-Atlantic Section (MASITE) is affiliated with the ITE Mid-Colonial District. We provide opportunities for professional development and community building at the regional and local levels through annual meetings, trainings, luncheons, and connecting members with area Student Chapters.

The ITE Mid-Atlantic Section (MASITE) covers Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Delaware, and West Virginia and is proud to be the birthplace of ITE. Our section is governed by an Executive Board according to the section charter and by-laws and our membership is made up of transportation engineers, transportation planners, educators, students, vendors and those affiliated with the transportation profession. MASITE won the 2024 ITE Outstanding Section Award and currently has over 600 active members.
